Camps and Training

Age Group Training (Fall only)

Free of charge to all registered STAR players, our in-season Age Group Training runs over a period of 6 weeks during both our spring and fall seasons. Led by club staff, the sessions are 1 hour long, and the focus is 30 minutes of individual technical training and 30 minutes of small sided games (3v3 or 4v4)

The aim of the age group training is to provide players the opportunity, at every age group, to train with and compete against other players, not only their teammates. The open to all style of this additional training falls in line with our holistic approach to individual player development as it provides yet more opportunities for our players to get touches on the ball and improve their technical skills.

More details on times and location forthcoming at the start of each season.

Goalkeeper Academy

Open to all STAR goalkeepers, our Goalkeeper Academy runs over a period of 6 weeks during both our spring and fall seasons. Led by the club’s professional goalkeeping staff, the sessions are 1 hour long, and the focus is on the: technical, tactical, physical and psychological requirements of this specialized position.

The purpose of the academy is to provide players the opportunity, at every age group, to train with other players, to push each other to develop and hone their goalkeeping skills.

We recognize that it can be very difficult to include goalkeepers in regular team training sessions, so this open to all style training again falls in line with our holistic approach to individual player development as it provides yet more opportunities for our goalkeepers to get purposeful touches on the ball and improve their technical skills.
